Football season is coming up soon. Better get in shape before the season. Peru High School’s Football Team has a new head coach, yes a new one again! The one and only Mr. Makowski.
The coaches are holding weights for the team throughout the 2022-2023 school year on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 3:30pm-4:45pm. After school weights are highly encouraged so that you are more in shape near Football time. There will also be summer workouts! Monday and Wednesday will be weights and field work from 5:30pm-8:30pm, and on Thursdays weights will only be available from 8am-9am. Summer workouts are not mandatory, however it is highly recommended.
Q: How do you feel about being the head coach this year, and what are your goals for the year?
A: Makowski~Extremely excited about being head coach. My team goal is to win TRC, and my personal goal is to see growth in my players.
Q: What are you most looking forward to for the upcoming football season?
A: Makowski~ I am looking forward to working with our student athletes, we have a dynamic group of kids who are fun to be around.
Q: Do you have anything you would like to say about the upcoming football season?
A: Jordan Rader(Coach of linebackers and running backs) ~ “I’m very excited for this upcoming season. We have some really good athletes that are upperclassmen now. We are going to expect a lot of them this year. I know my personal goal is to bring that TRC title back home to its original owners. The Peru Tigers!
Q: What are you most looking forward to this season?
A: Mr.Quin(PJSHS Athletic trainer)~I am most looking forward to the atmosphere that the games bring to town on Friday nights.
