In the third edition of staff features at Peru Jr/Sr High School, Kaydence Bowen interviewed staff member Daric Fuller. The interview is as follows below:
Q:What is your job at PJSHS?
A: “I teach High School Social Studies and I am a wrestling coach.”
Q: How long have you been working at PJSHS?
A: “14 years.”
Q: What would you say you like most about your job?
A: “I have the potential to change lives everyday!”
Q: What are some changes that you think needs to be done to our school to make it a better place to learn?
A: “I continuously look forward to new and fresh ideas, and hope the new superintendent and principal continue to affect the student culture and teacher morale in a positive way.”
Q: How many years have you been coaching high school students? I also know you help with the Elementary and Jr high wrestling teams, how long have you been helping their coaches and teams?
A: “I started coaching at eighteen years old and have been coaching for a total of eighteen years. I coached at Hankers Town High School for four years, and the last fourteen years I have taught/coached at Peru. I have always been involved in the youth wrestling program, but I took a more active role about four years ago when my boys started wrestling.”
