In the second edition of PJHS staff features reporters Jayma Majors and Annika Malone interviewed staff member Colin Quin. The interview is as follows below.
Q: What’s your job at Peru Jr./Sr. High School?
A: Grades 7-12 Athletic Director.
Q: How long have you been working at Peru community schools?
A: This will be my 5th year here.
Q: Did you always want to work at a school?
A: Yes. I knew my junior year of high school this is what I wanted to do.
Q: What is your opinion on Junior high and High school merging?
A: I think it could be good. It is my hope that the 7th and 8th graders, being around older kids will raise their maturity level.
Q: What was school like when you first started working?
A: Not much has changed in the last 5 years. But with bringing in a new superintendent and principal in the next year, I expect many changes will be coming.
