Homecoming 2023-2024

It’s Homecoming week for Peru Jr/Sr High School. Our Tigers will be taking on the Wabash Apaches this Friday night, September 8th. Leading up to the game has been a week of the following festivities:

Monday 9/4- No School (Labor Day)

Tuesday 9/5- Character Day

Wednesday 9/6- Class Shirts (Stadium Games)

Thursday 9/7- Kindergarten Vs Senior Citizen

Friday 9/8- Game Day! (wear black and gold)

Saturday 9/9- Homecoming Dance (7pm-10pm, $5)

This year’s homecoming theme is Harry Potter inspired and each class is sorted into the following houses: Seniors – Slytherin, Juniors – Ravenclaw, Sophomores – Hufflepuff, Freshman – Griffindor. 

At the end of the week, the winning class will be announced! This is judged by decor, performance at the Stadium Games, floats, and overall participation of the homecoming week festivities. 

Homecoming court consists of the following students: Freshmen – Alyssa Althouse & Zion See, Sophomores – Kaelyn Edwards & Isaiah Korba, Juniors – Kendyl Hovermale & TJ Raber, Seniors – Tobin Blong, Fox Huppenthal, Alex Ross, Zack Smithers, Evan Walsh, Kenzie Burton, Anashea Dolly, Maliyah Dunn, Emma Thomas, & Jordyn Ulery. 

Voting for Homecoming King and Queen opens today, September 7th, and will be announced at the game this Friday. 

Our PJSHS football team is currently 3-0 and hoping to continue the winning streak. Tomorrow night’s game has the prediction of our Tigers winning 52-7, according johnharrell.net. Students have extremely high hopes for the victory and Sophomore, Abigail Runyon says, “I am confident that we will make it to at least 6-0 before we break our winning streak.” 

Overall, Peru High School is surrounded by excitement and good vibes. The 2023-2024 Peru JR/SR High School Homecoming is sure to be a blast.
