Speech team ends season on a high note

The PHS speech team competed at Oak Hill High School on Wednesday, February 15. The speech teamers had a very successful evening, when they brought home the gold with a first-place finish in the meet.  To add to their hardware, they also solidified their place in the Central Indiana Forensic League.

Top finishers include:

Marjon Rafie (Impromptu) – 1st place

Dylan Moores (Original Oratory) – 1st place

James Walsh (Discussion) – 1st place

Medora Oliver (Original Oratory)- 2nd place

Jackson Ray (Humorous Interpretations)- 2nd place

Carsten Loe (Prose)- 3rd place

They finished 2nd for the season in the Central Indiana Forensics League beating all other area schools including Maconaquah, Kokomo, Logansport, Oak Hill, Wabash, Marion, and Northfield. Please congratulate these kids! They have been an absolute example of great sportsmanship, quiet confidence, and steady success.
